This photo is from June of 2010 when I was seriously underway on this afghan.
I traveled through time in the slow, regular calendar way to January 2013 and now it's finished! No photos of it done yet, but maybe tomorrow. Hooray!!! Today was seriously bumming me out because every single thing I did felt like I had weights on all my limbs and the atmosphere had turned to thick invisible molasses which made the day s l o w and annoying. Except I'm not annoyed anymore, because THIS IS DONE.
That's so gorgeous! I want to make one like that, for real, though I have some other serious finishing to do first. Go go go!
ReplyDeleteIf you ever find a cure for the molasses days, let me know! I had one yesterday and it made me all grumpified because I wasn't getting anything done.
Can't wait to see the finished afghan! Glorious!
It is great for using up small bits of yarn! (not that I did, but now that I've made one I have lots of small bits of yarn. Like quilting, it's a project that begets more projects.) I'm going to try to get a picture of the finished afghan today! It's rainy and dark but I'm going to drag it from room to room and see if I can get a decent photo.
ReplyDeleteI hate molasses days and would be thrilled to find a cure! I hope your week is turning in a non-molasses direction.
Those look fun to do. You should show me how!
ReplyDeleteI will! They're not only fun but easy, which is the best combination if you ask me.
DeleteYay! It would be fun to makeone. Maybe I'd even finish it.
DeleteP.s. The wire came today. Thanks for sending it in the cool card you made!
