My first attempt from the pattern/tutorial found here at the tiny happy craft blog (found via whip up). I was afraid that after the gigantic fabric purge of May, I wouldn't have anything left to make things out of, but I think this silk fabric (formerly curtains in my bedroom) worked out fine. Plus, I really love that I made it all from stuff I had hanging around. Woo hoo! (I know that the closeup on the button shows some... not perfect stitchery, but I really loved how the blue looked against the orange in that picture.)
SO cute! I really love it, Jen! I am totally going to have to try one.
ReplyDeleteUh, I looked and looked but have to ask--now where are those less than perfect stitches? You are so funny. Wonderful: that marvelously-textured orange cloth with the blue-I-love button.
ReplyDeleteYou should do one, leslita! It goes together really fast. (I'm making a second one, which is making up Even Faster, if you can believe it!)
ReplyDeletepatty -- hee hee. Well, maybe I shouldn't say if you can't find it. But I'll give you a hint: it's in the lining.
Very cute!
ReplyDeleteMaybe I should make myself a lovely handbag...sounds like fun and it would be a collectible item since it would be a one of a kind, once in a lifetime sort of thingy. But I must say that your handbag is delightful. Except of course for the stitchery that you say is flawed...
ReplyDeleteMan! I knew that crappy stitching was going to ruin everything. But seriously, EVERYONE should make one!
